Option 1: Take the car to the Bärenbadalm. Here starts the hike to the impressive dam wall Zillergrund.

Total walking time: approx 4-5 hours, 500 hm ascent and descent. (depending on breaks and condition)

Option 2: Take the bus from Mayrhofen up to the reservoir. From there a path leads along the reservoir to the Hohenau Alm. The Hohenau Alm, for some years also called "Little Tibet of the Zillertal", is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Tyrol.
